How does Chance for Childhood raise funds?
Chance for Childhood relies on public funding to carry out its vital work. We raise funds in a variety of ways; from individuals, through events such as the London Marathon, from grant makers, from community groups such as Rotary Clubs, through appeals, from legacies and also from companies.
We work hard to maintain a diverse portfolio of income streams, to prevent over-reliance on one particular source of funding and to protect the sustainability of Chance for Childhood. You can view a detailed breakdown of how we raise money and your donation makes a difference here.
How does Chance for Childhood choose which companies to enter a fundraising partnership with?
We look to form partnerships with funders and companies that share our values and commitment to supporting vulnerable children to access a brighter future. We are open to all prospects from legitimate funding sources that allow people to engage with our values in a meaningful way.
Our Ethical Fundraising Policy ensures that we do not compromise on our mission and values when it comes to raising income. We conduct due diligence on all donations over £10,000 in the UK or £1,000 from outside the UK.
Why does Chance for Childhood have a relationship with a gaming organisation?
We are committed to making decisions that are in the best interests of the charity and ultimately, for the children we support.
After carrying out a thorough due diligence process we were impressed by The Entain Foundation’s sincerity and desire to support the vulnerable children and communities in which Chance for Childhood works. Through the due diligence process we were reassured that as a company Entain are going above and beyond any legal requirements to minimise any negative affects of gaming.
We believe that a partnership with The Entain Foundation will allow us to support some of the most hard to reach children and create long-lasting change.
