3 ways to make a difference this Christmas

13 November 2020

Over the past few months, we’ve seen what a big difference your support made to the most marginalised children and families in a time when they needed it most. This Christmas we’re inviting you to help us go even further to make sure we can continue to protect, educate and empower the vulnerable children we work with! Here’s how you can help:

1. Shopping Online

Did you know you can raise funds for us just by shopping online? It doesn’t cost you anything extra but generates a small donation every time you make a purchase.

Get started by using easyfundraising. Simply sign up, select Chance for Childhood as your charity and start shopping. They work with over 4,000 retailers, including eBay, Argos, John Lewis and M&S!

If you shop on Amazon, you can generate a donation worth 0.5% of the purchase price every time you shop. Simply visit smile.amazon.co.uk to activate AmazonSmile with your usual login details. Then search and select ‘Chance for Childhood’ as your chosen charity. Happy shopping!

2. Give a gift that makes a difference

We’ve updated our range of gifts ready for Christmas! Why not give a child the books and stationery they need as they return to school with a School Kit, support a street-connected child’s development with a food basket or provide a counselling session to help survivors of abuse overcome past traumas?

3. Double your donation in December

By donating to our Big Give Christmas Challenge between midday 1st – 8th December, you can have twice the impact! This is because every donation is being doubled, but only for one week. It’s been 8 months since schools closed and many children still haven’t gone back. COVID-19 is threatening to take away their futures. With your help, we’ll make sure it doesn’t.

Want to make sure you don’t miss out on doubling your donation? Sign up to our mailing list and we’ll let you know when the campaign starts.

Need help? If you have any questions about any of the above then please don’t hesitate to get in touch on or by calling 01483 230 250.

Thank you so much! Your donations make a transformational difference by supporting vulnerable children to access a brighter future!
