Dear friends of Street Child Africa,
We are delighted to announce that Street Child Africa has now merged with Chance for Childhood following approval by the Charity Commission.
Together we have already made significant progress, together, raising over £1.5 million in 2016. Reduced management, administrative and office costs have also allowed more of your money to be spent directly on our beneficiaries.
We have reached a 85% charitable spend this year despite any of the additional merger costs, which we are very happy about!
Thanks to your continued amazing support, we can ensure no child needs to sleep alone on the streets.
As part of Chance for Childhood we will continue to support the same vulnerable children helped by Street Child Africa’s amazing partners. The potential of street children that originally inspired Street Child Africa’s work will continue to be our driving force for the future.
Please note that if you have current standing orders or direct debits you should have received a letter from us explaining about the merger. If you have not received this letter it may be because we do not have an up-to-date address for you. Please contact us if this is the case.
In Chance for Childhood, we have built a fantastic family with people who share our passion, commitment and determination to improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children and merging is the best way to ensure that we develop our work with street children in the future. By coming together, and with your support, we’ll be able to make a greater impact on these children’s lives which is what drives us every single day.
We understand that you may have questions and we’re always happy to hear from you. We will also continue to run regular meet and greet sessions locally in the Hampton Court area. If you would like to speak to me or any of my colleagues, please do give us a call on 01483 230250 get in touch at our new address:

We can’t thank you enough for your loyalty and support over the years, without you many children would still be alone, abused and afraid. But we know there are many more children out there who need our help and we hope you’ll remain with us for the next stage of our journey.
