A few weeks ago, we asked to you to nominate us in Ecclesiastical’s Movement for Good awards. We were so touched for the amazing support you gave us and we’re delighted to announce that we were one of the lucky charities to win a £1,000 prize!
Chance for Childhood was one of over 7,000 charities to receive a nomination, but only 500 charities were awarded this special prize. Nearly 100,000 members of the public nominated charities for these awards – so thank you so much to our wonderful and dedicated supporters who took the time to nominate us!
The prize will change lives
£1,000 can go such a long way in helping the most vulnerable children in Africa have the childhood they deserve. With this donation, we can reach out to even more disabled children, street children, children affected by conflict and kids behind bars. And it makes a real difference to children’s lives. For example, £1,000 could pay the salary of 10 Learning Support Assistants who provide essential one-to-one support to children with disabilities in D.R. Congo or even cover the cost for eight families to foster a child affected by conflict with nowhere else to go.
